Steve has 25 years’ experience as a management consultant, specialising in programme management and strategic change with a financial management bias. A former Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers, he has worked extensively in both Private  & Public sectors and more recently in the voluntary sector often acting as Coach or Mentor to the Senior Managers he works with.

Steve is an authority on programme management and business change is a credited contributor to the OGC publication “Managing Successful Programmes”. Steve has practical experience across many types of change programmes from IT enabled change to culture change programmes.  Steve’s most relevant experience includes:

  • BG Group (a FTSE 100 Company):  Programme Lead - Business Change in IT function including 2 years rolling out Documentum
  • Gateway Qualifications – Programme Manager – Springboard Transformation programme
  • Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council: Programme manager of a major transformation programme – “Shaping Future Services”.
  • MoD DLO: Led a major Data Management Programme.
  • Jefferson Smurfit:  Change lead for a Finance Function Transformation.
  • Fisher Rosemount GmbH: Programme manager for European, tax-driven organisational change initiative.
  • Boots the Chemists:  Managed a large scale business and culture change programme.

Steve has also been a “Gateway Review” team leader for UK Central Government since 2001 and has led a number of “high & medium risk” reviews, including for the Child Support Agency, DCSF, Home Office, DCA, NHS, NWA, MoJ and ONS, always getting positive feedback from the SRO’s involved.
